Anantara Quy Nhon Villas
Anantara Quy Nhon Villas was a 3-year long project that I worked on during my time at Minor Hotels.
Initiated in 2016, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas was the next project following my re-branding of the two Life Resorts. The resort is 100% owned by Minor Hotels and is considered to be one of the top Anantara in Minor Hotels' portfolio.
Having the opportunity to work on this project from day one, I had the chance to involve in many steps such as architecture & design, interiors design and decorations, dining concepts, programs and excursions, etc. The project was supposed to be completed much earlier. However, due to the Damrey storm in 2017, the construction was heavily damaged and led to a delay.
The resort opened its door on November 2018, a few months prior to the first Covid wave and soon were welcomed by the public. Despite the challenges from limited inbound guests and the travel restrictions, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas was able to establish itself as the top resort in Quy Nhon as recognised in TripAdvisor. In addition, it was selected to be part of Virtuoso - a network for high-end travellers advisors and got covered in numerous international and local magazines like DestinAsian, CNN, National Geography. It is also the one of the only two resorts in Vietnam got listed in the prestigious The Lux List 2019 by DestinAsian. As Vietnam's borders remained closed for most of 2019 and 2020, as a Head of E-commerce, I turned my focus to a more local approach by signing multiple deals with Shoppee, VNA Holidays, Chambers of Commerce to boost our brand presence while targeting a wider audience. Together with the launch of The Vietage, we introduced packages to cross-sell both products and eventually achieved a 80% conversion rate for our package. We invested a lot more money into our Vietnamese language campaign to gain better exposure online and attained a ROI of 18:1.
